Ringworm Fungal Infection

Ringworm the body is a skin rash caused by a fungal infection. It is usually an itchy, circular rash with lighter skin in the center. Ringworm gets its name from its appearance. There is no worm involved. Tinea corporis is linked to an athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm on the scalp. Ringworm is often transmitted through direct skin contact with an infected person or animal.
